General Terms
Although you can make your choice over the internet, a non refundable deposit of $75 per animal is required to hold whatever animal(s) you have chosen.
Deposits are non-refundable unless one of the following happens: loss of animal being held by deposit or deposit is transferred to another animal.
Pickup of the animal(s) is required within one month from the date of deposit, after which I return the livestock for open sale. Any animals picked up later than one month will have a feed charge for holding animals I could have sold elsewhere. Exceptions are made for lambs or kids who will not be allowed to leave their dams until they are at least 12 weeks old.
All livestock sales are final as soon as the animal(s) leave the property.
Exceptions
In a few cases, I am willing to trade animals.
I will need pedigreed animals with papers in order to register their progeny. Sheep must have a health certificate and be OPP and Johnes test negative. Goats must be CAE and Johnes test negative.
Breeding Soundness
Animals that have been sold for breeding purposes may be exchanged at my discretion for another animal of comparable quality if the animal purchased for breeding is sterile. You must have a vet certificate stating that the animal is sterile. If sterility is due to disease, birthing problems or management issues, the animal cannot be exchanged.
Animals that have successfully bred on my farm cannot be exchanged if they do not breed on your farm.
If a replacement animal is unavailable, you may have to wait until the following year's lambing/ kidding. If you choose a more expensive animal for your replacement, the purchase price of the sterile animal will be deducted from the cost of the replacement.
